Since the beginning of time, society has recognized the special bond veterans and first responders share. Warriors Community of Southwest Florida offers new ways for these warriors to harness the power of connection. Whether you are a young service member who is looking for the camaraderie you felt during deployment or a family who is missing that special sense of community you experienced on base, Warriors Community can lead you to the programs and services that feel most relevant to you. We also provide a platform for leadership as we create new opportunities for connection, serving and supporting.
SERVICE & LEADERSHIP OPPORTUNITIES: Although you are no longer on active duty or on call, you are STILL needed by your community. If you want to get back in service, Warriors Community of Southwest Florida is ready and waiting to enlist your help. Experience the fulfillment of giving back and helping others the way you did in the military, alongside other warriors.
SHARING MUTUAL SUPPORT: Veterans, first responders and their families provide each other with mutual support in ways no one else can. Warriors Community of Southwest Florida was founded and is led by active-duty service members who can relate based on first-hand experience. These are leaders who understand the importance of having a strong support system after living through active duty. Whenever the need arises, Warriors Community can direct you to services such as crisis counseling, acupuncture, massage, coffee and dining, chiropractic, mental health and wellness services provided by and for veterans in your area.
SUPPORTING THE TRANSITION TO CIVILIAN LIFE: For those who have recently completed their service and are transitioning to civilian life, Warriors Community of Southwest Florida provides opportunities to restore the warrior’s sense of purpose and guide them through the process. We do this by hosting events and family gatherings, social activities and clubs, trainings, seminars, workshops, physical activities, yoga and meditation, retreats, counseling, group therapy, and providing referrals to additional resources.
WE NEED YOU – SERVE ON THE WARRIOR RESPONSE TEAM: Warriors Community of Southwest Florida is organizing a group of veterans and first responders to form a Warrior Response Team (WRT). The WRT volunteers will go through training, and once trained, serve as mentors to new members as well as lead activities and events. If you are interested in becoming that trusted confidant and guide to another warrior, this is your call to serve.
Let's connect, serve, engage, bond, connect, heal together.
